In common usage, the term 'single' is often used to refer to someone who is not involved in any type of serious romantic relationship, including long-term datingengagementmarriage, or someone who is 'single by choice'. Single people may participate in dating and other activities to find a long-term partner or spouse.
What singles should know before relationship

Some single people regard and appreciate solitude as an opportunity. Some people stay single by choice. In addition to choosing singleness as a preferential option, there are also those who choose not to marry for religious reasons.
But these are the note to singles;

1. You will meet a lot of good people who are not God's plan for you.
2. Eve wasn't given to Adam because she could speak in tongues and was in the choir or prayer department, no; she was simply God's will for him.
3. Everybody who wants you to marry at all cost won't be there to pay the price with you. Until God's will is present and you are ready, whoever you accept is a set up.
4. Age was never supposed to determine when someone marries or God would have fixed the age limit Himself. Don't let anyone push you into a wrong union for life because of a mere number.
5. Painfully, marriage is now painted like an achievement. Wrong! Wrong!! Wrong!!!
It is God's free gift and He has your package.
6. Your ability to say 'no' to what is not yours is what will unlock what is yours.
7. You have finished school and NYSC doesn't mean it's time to marry. There is no good formula other than making sure you are in God's will and ready for it.
8. Some people will even threaten you and tell you to keep waiting for Mr. or Mrs. Perfect till you die. Don't be disturbed. Until someone fits the bill, don't take the risk.
9. Relax, release your fears and just ask for your mate in faith then wait to see what the Lord does.
10. Waiting is not idling. It is praying but not praying out of fear. It is not anxiously waiting, it is confidently leaning on God to bring your spouse at the right time. This confidence has peace.
11. Sometimes our anxiety is actually hormonal. Our sexuality makes singlehood harder and harder but hold the urge please. Don't marry the next appeal and miss your destiny which is on the way.
12. Jesus wasn't married AT ALL and He wasn't a failure! You will be married but don't let anyone imply that you have failed because you aren't married yet.
13. Satan's aim is to create anxiety because when he does, he unsettles you and steals away your ability to see God's will.
14. Don't give your mum a son in-law or your dad a daughter in-law at the expense of your future. Don't do it for them. It is you who will live the life.
15. The truth is marriage is such a union that you can't just walk out, so don't just walk in for any other reason other than that you are really convinced it is the right person you are letting in.
16. Not a curse, just a fact!
Some of the people insulting your singlehood will be out of marriage when you are 20 years into it! Our lives are not the same.
17. Any company that creates anxiety about your singlehood and plants fear about getting married is not godly company.
18. At the point of choosing a relationship, ask yourself what the real motivation is: life and destiny; sexual pressure; family pressure; age?
Be sure it is centered around, 'it is God's will, I want them, they want me and I am ready'
19. When you wait, praying is not an option; submissive prayer. Be ready to obey. Your Heavenly Father will give specific instructions and directions.
20. In the long run, you are better off doing what is right before God and what your conscience justifiably considers correct. Don't settle for something, take what is yours!
